September 10th marks World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) 2020, which aim is to provide worldwide commitment and action on suicide prevention. This awareness day is organised by The International Association for Suicide Prevention.

Globally, close to 800,000 people take their own life every year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. Here at STM Group, we believe in the importance of providing a safe, supportive, and healthy work environment, which can play a crucial role in suicide prevention. Now, more than ever, it’s important that we work together and look out for each other.

STM Group has been involved in over 100 suicide interventions. To raise the awareness of this day, we have put together a video, where 9 STM heroes share their stories on suicide preventions as well as an important message being shared by the Railway & BTP Chaplain, Andrea Smyth. Please click below to watch the video. The full individual stories will be released on the STM Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/stmgroup_ukltd/
