Paul has an unrivalled track record of success within the security services industry. Passionate about continuous service improvement, Paul’s career in the security industry commenced in 1993 (prior to which he spent 11 years with the British Army). He, subsequently, successfully managed three of the Top Ten (Infologue) Security Companies, including leading an MBO of Pegasus Security Group. Paul worked for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office prior to joining STM in 2019, where in a short space of time, his personal values of Loyalty, Integrity and Pride have transformed the organisation. Paul adds: “I have been fortunate enough to have been in the right place at the right time, on several occasions, and able to help struggling organisations as a consequence.”

The New Service Strategy 

In 2019, STM embarked on a new chapter, appointing an experienced CEO, Paul Jacomb. As a result, Paul restructured the management team, and developed a service strategy around continuous service improvement.

Whilst the new strategy aimed to transfer those skills developed in the demanding transport sector into other business sectors (where quality of service delivery is a pre-requisite), it also included a “back to basics” approach to ensure best practice within the rail industry. This approach has enabled us to work with our customers in order to ensure those services provided are bespoke to each client, with a service strategy which aims to add tangible value. STM has five complimentary operating business units, enabling a holistic approach to be at the heart of its solution-based approach. These are as follows:
